- Work with designers, engineers, and product managers on our enterprise design system, creating designs, standards, and documentation that support the product teams at scale

- A portfolio featuring design work that showcases an understanding of design principles, including composition, layout, color and typography, and how the designs lead to positive business outcomes
- Ability to work independently and prioritize time
- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate design decisions and open issues in a clear manner
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to listen to, and collaborate with, other UX/UI/Visual designers, researchers, and project teams
- Experience designing for design systems
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, and/or Angular
- Experience with life science and healthcare

- POSITION PURPOSE: The UX Interaction Designer will be a crucial contributor on my clients Diabetes Care’s Global Research & Development team developing and commercializing both medical devices and digital product offerings. The UX Interaction Designer’s expected responsibilities include distilling complex sets of needs and requirements from Users, Study Findings, Marketing Research, and R&D Engineering into clear problem statements, translating them into design artifacts such as personas, wireframes, journey maps and user flows, and developing iterative prototypes for presentation and frequent usability testing. The candidate should have experience in face to face and virtual user testing. In digital and device design, the UX Interaction Designer will contribute insights, suggestions and competitive analysis to help create products with competitive advantage. The UX Interaction Designer will work closely with medical device engineering, systems engineering, marketing, regulatory, and quality teams. Other duties include continually educating our organization in design language and trends, while partnering with our external suppliers and vendors.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:
- You will conceptualize and iterate high-fidelity designs and prototypes in partnership with a team of researchers, designers, project managers, and developers.
- You will understand and value the practice of design iteration by always experimenting, evaluating, and learning.
- You will apply user-centered and data-driven design strategies to projects that range from mobile applications to complex business systems.
- You will understand user needs and motivations uncovered in research and can translate them into design solutions (including flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes).
- You will provide intuitive, meaningful, and elegant interpretations of complex concepts based on research findings and business requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a design related field with at least 2-3 years of experience working in interaction design.
- Master’s Degree in a design related field with at least 1 year of experience working in interaction design.
- You have a solid understanding of user interface design patterns, information architecture and user experience best practices.
- You have attention to detail and possess visual design skills (including layout, grid systems, typography, iconography, and color) for digital experiences.
- You’re fascinated by people, their motivations, and desires relating to the design challenge.You love helping identify user needs and establish designs that help them reach their goals.
- You can work well with a team of diverse colleagues and stakeholders.
- You can manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.
